Alissa Mosier, CPDT-KA runs Old Dogs New Tricks Dog Training, LLC, and loves using her background in education to help people understand and build a connection with their dogs. Alissa works hard to keep classes fun and engaging, for people and the dogs, and recognizes that all dogs, like people, are individuals. You will see Alissa offering many classes, Puppy, Puppy Too, Canine Good Citizen Prep, scent classes, and various other "fun" classes. Adolescent dogs have become her specialty, but senior dogs have a special place in her heart, and she loves being able to offer classes for all age groups.

Alissa has a Masters in Childhood Education and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (Knowledge Assessed). She is a Fear Free Certified Trainer, has completed Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course and is an active member of the Pet Professional Guild, the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and IAABC. Alissa is also a certified Wag It Games instructor, an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and a Be a Tree Presenter.

When not teaching classes, you will find Alissa competing in scent sports with Jasper, TKI, and CCSS-L2, and starting to get her feet wet in the world of competition agility. Alissa shares her life with her Puerto Rican street dog Jasper, her adolescent German Shepherd Wren TKN, VHMP, her one-eyed snuggling Frug Magadalina Conchetta Wrinkles, Tabby the Introverted Dog, and Pirate, a Min Pin foster who has lots of rules. She also has three cats and a very tolerant husband.

Alissa’s classes will be listed under “Classes with Offline Registration.”
